Maggie Lucchesi is an icon in the hair fashion industry who began her career by mentoring with the architects of haircutting and design (circa 1975) with Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Irvine & Rita Rusk, and Sam Villa, to name a few.
At fringe, Maggie passes on this legacy to new and seasoned stylists.
Mentoring is focused on working side by side with Maggie and her team of talented stylists at fringe.
You will learn the professional standard presentation of self to guests as your journey starts here. You will learn the art of communication and the element of implementation.
Our focus is on all aspects of AVEDA Culture and from there we will lead you down the path of hair!
Education is key, and Maggie’s mantra is “Education, Education, Education”.
You will be exposed to multiple facets of hair, including runway work and photo shoot work. Sounds like fun? It is! Sounds like work? It is!
It is fulfilling work, evolving around a support system that will provide you with the tools necessary to thrive and soar.

Community is important for fringe. We have worked with organizations like PEP and Osprey Village, as well as our local library.
We have welcomed survivors of abuse into our salon as guests, extending warmth, dignity, beauty and kindness. These efforts will always be part of who we are and we are actively working to expand our impact.

Maggie has been in the hair fashion industry for 52 years and counting. She has spent 46 of these years as an entrepreneur and a self employed salon owner.
With deep ties to AVEDA and a reputation for mastery, education and integrity, fringe has been a trusted and valued salon on Hilton Head Island for over 21 years.
